How to participate in the Summit Showcase, Exchange Fair/Exhibit or Awards of Appreciation

• Summit Showcase - Six examples of recent work that exemplify this theme will be selected for presentation in our 'Summit Showcase' sessions. A jury will review submissions and select these pieces in the areas of: Journalism (print, broadcast and new media); Film (narrative and documentary); Marketing/ Advertising / Corporate Communications; and Arts and Entertainment.

If you would like to submit an example of your work for consideration as a Showcase presentation in one of these areas, please send a one page bio and a one paragraph description of the work and how it relates to this year's theme.                                                                                                      

• Exchange Fair/Exhibit - In a more informal environment (a table will be provided in a 'fair' style environment), where you will be able to exhibit or demonstrate your work and engage and talk with others about its impact.

If you feel that you would like to participate in the 'Exchange Fair,' please send a one page bio and a one paragraph description of the work and how it relates to this year's theme.

We are also seeking nominations for our Annual "Awards of Appreciation."

• Awards of Appreciation-  These awards recognize excellence in media that illuminates humanity's capacity for greatness, and inspires open-heartedness, dialogue, and action. We are seeking people to be nominated who have demonstrated a deep sense of commitment in presenting work that brings benefit to the world.

Awards are given in the following categories:

• Journalism(print, broadcast and new media);
• Film(narrative and documentary);
• Marketing/Advertising/Corporate  Communications;
• Arts and Entertainment.

You may nominate yourself or another individual. The nominee, should he or she be selected, must be present in order to receive the award.

Please send a one page bio of the individual, and a one paragraph description of the work being nominated, and how it relates to this year's theme.

If you are interested in presenting your work in the "Showcase," or at the "Exchange Fair," or if you would like to nominate someone for an "Award of Appreciation," please email the requested information to Donna Serpe at summit@ivofhope.org.

Please send your initial query by June 30. 

The information will then be forwarded to the appropriate committee member who will contact you and ask you to send a sample of your work.

Your entry can be in the form of an email attachment or internet link for print and new media entries, a CD for audio entries or a NTSC DVD for video entries.  

Your complete submission will be due by July 14.
