Interview Guide
-
Describe an image, story, or event (movie,
advertising, art, news story, other) that had a powerful and
positive impact on you and gave you hope. What about the story
made it powerful? How did it affect you and others around you?
What impact did it have on society and the world?
-
Think of a time when you were involved in the
creation or dissemination of an image or story that inspired
others. Describe the image or story. What was it about you or your
values that inspired you to create or choose this particular image
or story? What was the effect it had on others?
-
Imagine that five years from now (2005) dramatic
changes, good changes, have occurred in the public image making
and storytelling industries, and our society is engaged in a
dynamic and wide-ranging discourse of possibility. What does this
world look like? What are some of the elements or characteristics
of this better world? In a culture of positive discourse, what
might be different about the images and stories we tell?

What do you feel personally called to do to
translate your positive image of the future into reality? What
excites you and energizes you?
